Richard Robinson, Sr.

Richard Dean Robinson, Sr., 70, a promise keeper and faithful man, of New Albany, formerly of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on June 29, 2012 at his home. Richard was an umpire for many years and truly enjoyed the time he spent around the children. He also enjoyed watching golf and football. Richard had quite an extensive collection of family photos and most of all he loved his family and friends.
Richard was born on June 16, 1942 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Richard C. and Lula Mae (Ward) Robinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Johnny L. (Oliver) Robinson; children, Richard D., Jr., Christopher S., Tracey Evans, Cheryl L. Hornsby, Joseph M., and Richard D. Robinson; brother, Ron Robinson; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services are pending and will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home (2794 W. US HWY 80, Garden City, GA 31408) later this week. Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel is handling local arrangements.
