Richard Osborne

Richard Osborne, 76, passed away on July 18, 2012. A veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and Navy, Richard was a member of the Henryville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and bingo and dearly loved his grandchildren and family.
Richard was born on February 6, 1936 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Andy and Ida (Overbey) Osborne. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Effie Jean Whitehead and Stella Mae "Cricket" Osborne and brother, Lawrence E. Osborne.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Mary G. (Tooley) Osborne; daughter, Christy Hope Pouw (James); son, R. Mikel Osborne (Robin); sisters, Betty Rose Stottman (Joe), Aline Janes (Tony), and Judy Piles; brothers, Frank and Bill Osborne; grandchildren, Mersaidies, Jamie Nicole, Camaron, Dalton, Alexavier, Eathen, Coley, and Trevor; sister-in-law, Inga Osborne; and brother-in-law, Manuel Whitehead.
Visitation will be 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with military honors and cremation to follow.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Kosair Children's Hospital Foundation (Dept. 86140, P. O. Box 950183, Louisville, KY 40295-0183).
