Richard Connell Mcgouirk

Richard Connell McGouirk, 75, of Louisville, KY, passed away on July 11, 2022. He was proud to serve his country as a Marine. Richard was a faithful man of God and a member of Dixie Valley Church of God. He loved his family and going to the beach. Richard was always dancing (Poppy dance) and singing oldies, but goodies, as well as gospel. He loved his angel, Peggy Jo and always wanted to hear her sing no matter where they were. You will always be MY SUNSHINE!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Evelyn (Duke) McGouirk; brother, Bud and sister, Nell.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Peggy Jo McGouirk; children, Mandy, Russ (Kimberly), Richard (Ashley), Davette (David), Rayna (Mike) and Carissa (Terry); grandchildren, Trevor, Christopher, Brayden, Maegan, Cordon, Blake, Chynna (Nathan), Destinee (Jacob), Tiara, Tariana (Andrew), Carena and Caden; great-grandchildren, Braylee, Lynnlee and Maverick; brothers, Tommy (Kay) and Larry and sisters, Toni and Millie.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 3pm-8pm. A celebration of Richard's life will be Monday, August, 1, 2022, beginning at 12pm at the funeral home.

A graveside service for Richard will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160, beginning at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to, Radcliff Veterans Center Advisory Committee, 100 Veterans Drive, Radcliff, KY 40160.
