Richard Bryan McCartin, 52, passed away on April 26, 2012. An avid hunter and fisherman and a long-time IU and NASCAR fan, Richard will be missed by his loving family.
He was born on October 22, 1959 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Patsy Sue (Cron) McCartin and the late Robert B. McCartin. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Jeffrey and Gary McCartin and nephew, Corey Harris.
In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his daughter, Jessica Guest (Daniel); brothers, Timothy and Stephen McCartin (Teena); sister, Pamela Harris (Stephen); grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., Aradia, and Draven Guest; aunts, Nell Jean Quire, Barbara Lawrence, Linda Denning, and Patti Board; nephew, Jeff Harris (Brandy); niece, Stevie McCartin; and great nephews, Anthony and Jayden.
His Visitation will be 3 to 7 PM Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). The Funeral Service is 1 PM on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society (701 West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40203) or to Down Syndrome of Louisville (5001 South Hurstbourne Parkway, Louisville, KY 40291.
