Richard E. Kimberley

April 8, 1942 — January 4, 2024

Richard Everett Kimberley, born April 8th, 1942 of Perry County, KY passed away in his residence of over 50 years in Middletown, KY after a brief illness on January 4th.

He entered the Army at the age of 17 and once completing his duties he returned to his high school and graduated at the age of 23.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and the love of his life Carolyn Sue (Reynolds) Kimberley.

He is survived by his son Jeffrey (Abi) Kimberley, and granddaughter Astrid; daughter Tracy (Richard) Kimberley-Pace, and granddaughters Julia Pace, and Brittany (Isaac) Whitmore; daughter Deborah (Lee) Chesser, and grandsons, Skylar Hopkins, and Bluford Everett Chesser. Richard is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Richard will also be dearly missed by several neighbors including, John and Courtney Matthews, their three children, and several bowling buddies.

He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. Richard was an avid UK and Dodgers sports fan, he enjoyed coaching his children's sports teams, watching any sports game, bowling, traveling and spending time with family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests enjoying a warm honey bun and milk on the porch with a good book. Rejoice that he has joined his wife and our Heavenly Father by listening to the song Wolverton Mountain by Claude King.
