Richard W. James, Jr.

Richard W. James, Jr., 84, of Louisville passed away on February 3, 2023. Richard was a former member of the American Turners - Louisville, the Windjammers Sailing Club, former member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Frenchtown, Indiana, current member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting, fishing and camping. He was also an avid University of Louisville fan. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard W. and Mildred Jordan James; and his daughter, Suzanne James Weedman.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lou; children, Richard W. James III (Angela) and David A. James (Victoria); grandchildren, David J. Weedman, Michael B. James and Ella N. James; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

Burial will be private.
