Richard I. Cooper, 60, of Palmyra, IN, passed away on August 20, 2012 at his home. He was a retired mechanic with TARC, an avid deer hunter and a member of Blue River Christian Church.
Richard was born on November 12, 1951 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Joseph V. Cooper and Juanita F. (Brown) Dooley. He is survived by his wife, Mary "Cindy" (Johnson) Cooper; children, Richard "Joey" Cooper (Shellie), Keith A. Cooper, Kathryn M. Cooper; siblings, Jerry Cooper (June), Norman Dooley, Ruth Ann Floyd, Norma E. Bell; grandchildren, Caleb and Baylie Cooper, Jessica Gaddie; and his miniature schnauzers, Mickey and Minnie.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday from 12 to 8 PM. His Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
