Richard H. Thompson age 88 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 10, 2013 at Meadowview Health and Rehab . Richard was a proud WWII Army Veteran and served as Director of Business Development at Solo Cup Company for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his son Tim Thompson, his daughter Sylvia "Rocky" Walters and his sister Jane Smith.
Richard is survived by his wife Margit, his children Cathe Laing(Jack), Rod Thompson(Trish), Joan Roney(Glenn), Ken Thompson(Renae), Michael Caswell, Heidi Caswell-Hays, Candas Caswell(Simon Bacon), Roger Walters, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
The family would like to give special thanks to the caring staff at Meadowview.
Visitation will be Monday May 13, 2013 from 3-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home and Service will be Tuesday May 14, 2013 at 10am at St Thomas Episcopal Church, 9616 Westport Road.
