Richard Dwight Belcher, 70, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana died on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in New Albany, Indiana.
Richard was born on October 1, 1943 in Cape Sandy, Indiana to the late George A. & Artie B. (Shoemaker) Belcher. He was veteran of the United States Army. Richard was a retired fireman with the New Albany Fire Department. After retiring, Richard owned and operated Circle B Kiddie Rides for a number of years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gambling.
He is survived by his brother, Donald Belcher; sisters, Barbara Harlow & Deborah Andres; special friend, Barbara; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, Bob, Dencil, Willard, & Charles Belcher; sisters, Bonnie Schneider, Betty Webb, & Freda Loman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral will be at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery.
