Rhonda Michelle Hoyer, 42, of Jeffersontown, Kentucky, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
She was born to James Russell Coomer and Beverly Kay Coomer (Hockenberry) on January 29, 1982.
She has worked at LeadingAge Kentucky for the past 17 years with Timothy Veno. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church. Rhonda was a single mother to Alexander James Hoyer (14) who was her world. She was active in supporting Alex at Christian Academy of Louisville as the Assistant Coach to his Archery Club and Band Mom to his marching band. Rhonda was also known to many kids as Aunt Nonna.
Rhonda is survived by her loving parents, Russell and Beverly Coomer; son, Alexander Hoyer; sister, Kristie (Nathaniel) Clark; brother, Brian (Sureiya) Coomer; bonus sister, Caitlyn Keltner; grandmother, Analeta Bristow; niece, Kaylin (Sean) Buchanan; niece, Aneesa Coomer; niece, Samera Coomer; niece, Saira Coomer; bonus niece, Brelynn Watson; nephew, Nicholas Clark; nephew, Kaleb Clark; and boyfriend, Nathan Ragsdale.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Her memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, at Cornerstone Community Church, 10600 Lower River Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
