Rhoda Mae Rolfes, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Rhoda was born to the late George and Marie Ackman in Covington, Kentucky on May 3, 1940.
Rhoda was a graduate of Bellevue High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Ken. They were married and together they had one son. They lived the majority of their lives in Lexington, Kentucky. She was a lifelong believer in Jesus Christ and was a devoted member of South Elkhorn Christian Church. Her most cherished job was at Tates Creek Christian Church as a secretary.
Rhoda's life revolved around the concept of family. She was an avid journalist and did so the majority of her life. She was a wonderful problem solver, always finding her own solution to DIY projects. Rhoda had a great sense of humor, making sure to find positivity in all things.
Rhoda is preceded by her husband, Ken Rolfes, and her brother, Marion Ackman. She is survived by her son, Michael (Terri) Rolfes; her grandchildren, Sean Michael and Nicholas; her great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tucker; her sister, Marcie Luck; her sisters-in-law, Margie Ackman, Dianne (Donald) Westermeyer and their children, Dani Roelker and Dawn Russell, as well as other relatives and friends who will all cherish her memory.
There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced.
