Rhea C. Morgan
Morgan, Rhea Cornelius, 80 was born to Marie and Raymon Morgan on May 13, 1930 in Russellville, KY and joined his heavenly father on May 7, 2011 at his residence.
He was a retired Detective Sergeant with the KY State Police with 28 years of service, a US Army veteran serving with the military police in Germany, former member of Evangel Church serving as elder and many leadership positions. He was an avid reader and teacher of the word of God, served as President of Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship Int'l for 20 years and sponsored their Louisville Convention. A very active member of Southeast Christian Church where he taught adult Bible classes, a communion server and hospital visitation through vital ministries for 12 years. He touched many people over the years.
Left to cherish his memory are wife of 54 years, Jewell Hurt Morgan, daughter Rhea Michele Spanyer (Tim), sons, Byrne Thomas (Brenda) and Todd Raymond (Renea), five grand children, Tyler, Matthew, Morgan, Seth, and Sawyer, five step grandchildren, Melissa, Emily, Adam, Andrew and Jessica, and a proud great grandfather to Aliyah Grace.
Funeral ceremony 1 PM Tuesday at Southeast Christian Church 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation 1-7 PM Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive and after 11 AM Tuesday at Southeast.
Expressions may be made to Jews for Jesus.
