Rev. Randal Thomas Austin, Sr., 75, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away and went to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Randal was the retired pastor of the Victory Life Fellowship Church in Glendale, Kentucky and was the former pastor of the Victory Lighthouse Church in New Albany where he built the current church building on Cherry Street. He enjoyed his 51 years of service to the church and enjoyed cooking, collecting antiques, treasure picking, yard sales and auctions. All of these adventures and pastimes would have never been complete without the love of his life, Daisy, by his side.
He was born on March 30, 1945 in New Albany, Indiana to the late John and Anna (Keith) Austin. Along with his parents, Randal is preceded in death by his brother, Mike Austin.
Randal is survived by his loving wife of almost 58 years, Daisy (Thomas) Austin; children, Randal T. (Carla) Austin, Jr., Rhonda (Tim) Robinson, N. Jason (Angela) Austin, Brenda (Michael) Hoskins, Aaron (Katy) Austin, and Cheryl (Chad) Caraway; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Diana (Marvin) Schwandt, Janet (Larry) Riggs, Rita Marple, Alisa (Don) Lawson, Yvonne (Mike) Harvey, and Sharon (Tim) Griffin; and many nieces, nephews, church family members, and friends.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines, all services will be kept private. Masks must be worn if you have been asked by the family to attend. He will be laid to rest in the Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in Randal's memory be made to Victory Life Fellowship Church (6138 South Dixie Hwy. Glendale, KY 42740).
