Rev. Larry K. Nichols, 75, of Mount Washington, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023. First and foremost, Larry served his country in the 123 Armory for the Army/Army National Guard, with an honorable discharge in April, 1969. He was a strong Christian man of deep faith throughout his life. He served in variety ways for the church, overseeing staff house project in Eldorado, IL and assisting several churches over the years. His first pastoral ship was in Virginia Beach, VA. followed by Lansing, MI Assembly and then the Cincinnati, OH church. Upon retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and activities with his family.
He was born on August 11, 1947, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, to Herman and Pearl (Calvert) Nichols. He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Nichols; mother, Pearl Nichols and brother, Norman Nichols.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna Jean Madeline Nichols; children, Jennifer Ann (Drew) Smith, Ryan (Sandra) Nichols, Sandra Jean Benz, and Sarah Jean Nichols; grandchildren, Derrick Weisenberger, Brandon Danielowicz, Amber Danielowicz, Heather Shults, Jamie Langley, Stephanie Faulkner, and Stephen Mapp; great-grandchildren, Jackson Weisenberger, Evelyn Weisenberger, Emma Weisenberger, LoloBell Danielowicz, Goldie Danielowicz, Winnie Danielowicz, Claire Stableton, Elijah Shults, Lucas Shults, Ava Shults, Natalie Langley, Matthew Langley, Serena Mapp, Sydney Mapp, and Max Mapp.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Christian Assembly Church, (9020 Stonestreet Road). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, at Christian Assembly Church with burial to follow at Beth Haven Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
