Reta English, 84, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
She was born on June 21, 1939 in Potterbrook, Pennsylvania to Walter and Ruth (Erway) English. In addition to her parents, Reta was preceded in death by her siblings, Rae English, Marilyn Sommers, Phyllis Wilder and Sonny English.
Reta is survived by her children, Wendy Smith (Craig), Gail Oliver (Jimmy), Michael Bullard, Derek English; grandchildren, William Barnes, Christina Hayes (Jason), John Cleveland (Ashley), Tiara Vincent (Eric), Brian Bullard, Lynzee Bullard; and nine great-grandchildren.
Reta's wish was to be cremated and a gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). She will be laid to rest privately at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Reta's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (900 E. Main Street, Louisville, KY 40206).
