Renee Angelis Maddox Yore
May 5, 1960 — April 4, 2023
Renee was born in General Hospital, Louisville, KY, born to her parents, Violet (Lendell, Sr. Deceased) Maddox. She accepted Jesus in her life at an early age being baptized in the Church of God. As the family grew she was a caring sister to her younger brothers, Lendell (Stacy) Maddox Jr., Kareem (Dontee) Maddox Sr., Jamaal Maddox Sr. (Deceased), and Kwasi (Tasha) Maddox.
Renee attended Fairdale High School where she met the sister of her heart, Delrita Hampton. Renee's vivacious and outgoing energy made it easy for her to make friends wherever she went. It led her to take part in the dance team, track team, cheerleading, and Tae Kwon Do, where she competed competitively in her younger years.
It was also during high school where she met her husband of 25 years, William Yore III. After high school, she attended the University of Louisville. Renee added military spouse to her laurel's after their marriage. To their union, three children were born, Vilis Yore, Brianna (George) Anderson, and William (Audreauna) Yore IV.
Renee's nurturing love was shared with her nieces and nephews; giving them her steadfast care and heartfelt advice.
As her family grew to adulthood, Renee was given one of her proudest titles of Nana to her sweethearts, Jada and Skylar Anderson. Those who knew Renee, knew her to be someone who openly expressed her love for those she cared about through various ways. Be it a well-timed phone call or a thoughtful gift, just to let you know that you were on her mind.
In addition to the family listed above, she is survived by a large family and numerous friends who were blessed to have her touch their lives.
Visitation will be April 13, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Renee's life beginning at 1pm.
Renee will be laid to rest at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
