Regina Sue Philpot

Regina Sue "Ricky" Philpot, 79, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. Ricky was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. She loved painting and doing crafts and was a gifted quilter.

She was born on September 10, 1943, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Martin and Irma (Sprigler) Schindler. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Martin "Junie" Schindler and Leon Schindler; and sisters, Mary Wolz and Erma Mae Walter.

Ricky is survived by her sons, Anthony Philpot, Jerry (Janet) Philpot, and Terry (Anita) Philpot; grandchildren, Ashley Philpot (Anthony), Rena Jecker (Andrew), Mitchell Philpot, Tyler Philpot (Taylor), Joseph Philpot (Megan), Brandon Philpot (Jill), and Bradley Philpot (Nia); 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha Fessel, Judy Kruer, Calvin Schindler (Vicki), Jimmy Schindler (Barbara), Dottie Thomas ("Tall"), Liz Timperman (Ed), George Wolz, and Alice Schindler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Rosary Service will be recited at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church - Chapel (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
