Rebecca (Becky) Lynne Hawes Wilson Lentz, 58, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on April 16, 2024 at Jewish Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
Becky was born on July 10, 1965 at St. Anthony's in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jerry Allen Hawes and survived by her mother Frances Elizabeth Hawes. She was an outstanding Property Management Field Operations Manager and most recently was employed at Mirage Property Management.
Becky grew up in Middletown, Kentucky and then Jeffersonville, Indiana where she graduated from Jeffersonville High School. Although Becky was the middle child, her brothers took a back seat to her infectious personality and ability to develop deep friendships. Becky was blessed with one son, Dalton Wilson who was the apple of her eye. Their relationship was truly special. Becky married and is survived by Kenneth (Kenny) Lentz on July 17, 2021. Their shared interests of motorcycle riding and staying at "The Camp" in Charlestown, IN with their many friends and beloved dog Pawpaw filled their days together. Becky was an avid UK fan and reminded her brothers often of the superiority of her team compared to theirs. Becky enjoyed riding horses with her friends whenever she could. Although Becky knew a lot of people and had a large number of friends, it was probably her ability and desire to give of herself to those around her and causes that deeply moved her that truly defined her life on this earth. Becky will be truly missed.
In addition to her father, Becky was proceeded in death by her grandparents William and Alberta Hawes of Shelbyville, KY and Marvin and Jimmie Crider of Middletown, KY.
In addition to her mother Francie, Becky is survived by her brothers Jeffrey A. Hawes (sister-in-law Lushannon and niece Madison) and David Hawes (sister-in-law Tiffanye, nephew Hayden, niece Sarah) as well as step children Gretchen Lentz, Grant Lentz and Grace Lentz.
