Raymond "Pete" Striegel

Raymond "Pete" Striegel, 80, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Pete was a proud owner of Striegel Asphalt Company Incorporated. He enjoyed boating, traveling to Florida, and spending time with family and friends.

He was born on July 21, 1943 in New Albany, Indiana to Raymond and Norma (Batliner) Striegel. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Striegel; children, Chris (Caroline) Striegel, Rick (Detra) Striegel, and Shannon (Ken) Thieneman; grandchildren, Eric (Celia) Striegel, Kristen (Chas) McGee, Jacob Thieneman, Brennan Thieneman, Kelsey Striegel, Brandon Striegel, Dillon Thieneman, and Kiera Thieneman; seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Dick (Delores) Striegel, Ronnie (Libby) Striegel, Roger (Barbara) Striegel, and Reed (Susan) Striegel; and sister, Roz (Jeff) Wolverton.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of service. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Raymond's memory be made to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
