Raymond Lee Stith, Sr., 85, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. He was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and Iron Workers Local #70 for over 47 years and served in the United States Naval Reserves. Raymond had participated in the Rat Racers Dance Club and the Red Men Club. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting in his youth, fishing throughout his life, and bird watching and gardening with his wife, Sarah.
He was born on August 5, 1935, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late John and Stella (Villier) Stith. Raymond was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sarah (Baugh) Stith; sisters, Dolores Daly and Linda Stith; and grandchildren, Michael Sims and Angela Marie Stith.
Raymond is survived by his children, Lisa King (Jack), Teresa Sims, Raymond Stith, Jr. (Stacy), and Terry Stith; brother, Richard Stith; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
