Raymond "Merle" Randolph, 85, formerly of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Greencroft Health Care in Goshen, Indiana.
Merle was blessed with a positive spirit and was a member of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, where he served as a Priest. Merle provided ministry and spoken word, led prayer services, recorded church services, and printed church bulletins for more than 50 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a musician, and a woodworker and could repair anything from clocks to lawnmowers. Merle enjoyed volunteering at healthcare centers, playing organ music for residents. As a woodworker, he and his wife, Sharon, led classes to help others learn crafts.
He was a employed as a photolithographer at the former Queens Litho and Kentucky Printing, retiring after 34 years.
Merle was born September 2, 1933, to the late Thomas and Hester Pauline (Stewart) Randolph. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Sharon Randolph; daughter, Melissa Randolph Kinsey; son, Michael (Caroline) Randolph; brothers, Wayne and Robert Randolph; and many nephews, nieces, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don, and sister Marilyn.
Two Celebration of Life gatherings will be held: Sunday, December 2, at 2:30 p.m. at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (4900 West Luther Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana) and Friday, December 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Greencroft Evergreen Place (1820 Greencroft Boulevard, Goshen, Indiana).
