Raymond Cleon Graham Sr., 92, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
He was born on July 9, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Owen and Ida (Williams) Graham. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Doris Jean Graham, son, Rodney Cleon Graham, grandchildren, Shawn Simmons and Cara Franko and his siblings, Margaret Dawson, Donald Graham and Owen Graham Jr.
Raymond is survived by his loving children, Raymond C. (Miriam) Graham , Jr., Donna Graham, Diana (Jay) Smith, Rocky (Diane) Graham, Ronald (Tracy) Graham, Randall (Jennifer) Graham and Robie (Deanna) Graham, 25 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, his sister, Roma Houchin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him very much.
Raymond proudly served our country during the Korean War while enlisted in the U.S. Army. Raymond was a hardworking man. He retired from General Electric after 35 years and while working at General Electric he worked his days in the family orchard and tobacco fields. In his free time he enjoyed watching WWE, car races and going to ball games. Raymond loved spending time with his family; watching the kids play sports, eating at Cracker Barrel and family cook outs and horse shoes. He had such a warming personality and enjoyed meeting new people.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 20th and 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, June 21st at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Eden Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
