Ray Young, 74, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020. He was born on October 11, 1945 in Middletown, New York to the late Ray and Margaret Young. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. Later in life, he loved nothing more than spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 45 years, Phyllis Young; children, Carla (Donnie) Peak, Pam (Eric) Zimmerman, Michael Barrow and Robin Evans; grandchildren, Dalton Peak, Chris (Kassy Vincent) Armstrong, Brandon Armstrong, Cory (Michelle) Armstrong, Richard (Rose) McCandless and Stephanie Evans; and great-granddaughters, Hailey Armstrong, Jasmine Armstrong, Hadley Armstrong, Anna McCandless, Maddie McCandless and Katie McCandless.
