Ray Elliotte

Ray Elliotte DDS, age 69 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina, studied dentistry at Marquette University and has lived and practiced in Louisville for 3 decades, retiring from his practice Dorsey Family Dental in 2017. Fearful patients were especially appreciative of his calming manner.

Ray was a faithful husband, loving and supportive father, and cheerful friend to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Atkins and James Elliotte.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lisa Elliotte; daughters, Hannah Burgin (Chris) and Emily Hardy (James); and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and his dog Alfie, all whom he loved and who loved him deeply.

Many will know that Ray had a particular love of gardening. On a warm summer day, after a friendly game of chess or a family dinner, Ray could be found walking his guests through his extensive garden, inviting them to smell the "popcorn plant" or telling them about a new flower, once withered and now flourishing.

Visitation will be from 9am until 11am on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Ray's life will be there at 11am, followed by burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
