Ray Antwan Cora

Ray Antwan "Batman" Cora, 46, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. Ray was a loving and devoted, husband, father, son, and Papaw. He had an infectious laugh, a work ethic that could not be beat, and never met a stranger. Ray put others needs and happiness before his own. Ray played high school football at Waggner High School and remained an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was loving, kind, and an outright good man. Ray will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on December 17, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois to Ray and Leda. He is preceded in death by his daughter, RayAnn; infant brother, Ray; and uncle Johnny.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Angela Cora; mother, Leda; father, Ray Cora,; children, Jaelyn, Journey, Justin, Jacob; grandchildren, Jermiah, James, Hakeem, Jacob, Jr., Jaylianna, Jayda, Loyalty; brother, Michael; aunties, Benita, Yvonne, and Deborah; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of Ray's life will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

A Repass will follow after the graveside service.
