Randall E. Engleman of New Albany, Indiana, 73, passed into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on August 25, 2023. Randy grew up in Marengo, Indiana, where he played basketball in high school. He was a drummer in the band "Sound Advice", loved to go fishing, attended barber college, and was employed for 31 years at E.I. Dupont before retiring. He was a longtime member of Trinity U.M.C. and donor of the American Red Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ermel and Alta (Key) Engleman; brothers, Ivan and Raymond Engleman; and sister, Juanita Simler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary (Vawter) Engleman; two precious daughters, Heather Adams-Schalk and Carrie Pernini (Kevin S.); 5 beloved grandchildren, Dylan and Kayley Adams, Tyler and Lillian Cobb, and Ava Schalk; three sister-in-laws, Linda Greer (Butch), Vivian Engleman, and Susan Engleman; brother-in-law, Ray Simler; and lots of beloved nieces and nephews.
Randy's family would like to thank their wonderful neighbors the Beard & Shaughnessey families, their very caring Trinity UMC church family, and the doctors, surgeons, and Hosparus team.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
