Ramona Crady

Ramona Joan (Thompson) Crady, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Joan was born December 6, 1931 in Pembroke, Kentucky to the late George B. Thompson & Fanny Mae (Hendricks) Mitchell. She was united in marriage on September 22, 1950 to Charles Gordon Crady and shared 58 loving years together, until his death in 2009. Joan was a very hard worker all of her life. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. Joan loved to go camping and enjoyed the time she spent with her family. Shopping, going to yard sales, dining and traveling with her daughter and son-in-law was some of her favorite past times, but her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandchildren. She was anxiously waiting the birth of her first great-great-grandbaby in August.

Joan is survived by her 3 children, Robby Crady, Kathy Roydes (Gary), & Ronnie Crady; brother, Robert Thompson (Delores); sister, Nita Gervin (Al); 5 grandchildren, Tammy Blayton (Bubba), Ted Mann (Laise), Joy Bline (Phillip), Jacob Crady, & Matthew Crady; 10 great-grandchildren, Trent Galbreath (Morgan), Trevor, Tabetha and Blake Blayton, Zack, Cory, Tyler and Skyler Mann, & Makenzie and Hunter Bline; and a host of step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and one step great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM Wednesday at Graceland Baptist Church (3600 Kamer Miller Road, New Albany, IN) with burial to follow at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens. Additional visitation will take place from 9 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday at Graceland Baptist Church.
