Ralph Elmer Lilly

Ralph Elmer Lilly, 92, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. He retired from Rhone Poulenc in Louisville. Ralph was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Valley View Golf Club, and the American Legion Post.

He was born on April 22, 1931, in New Albany to Charles and Ethel (Geis) Lilly. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Ralph; sisters, Catherine Klein, Mary Alstott, Dorothy Grimes, Dee Dee Miflin, and Viola Montague; and brothers, Raymond, Bernard, Herman, Roy, and Edward Lilly.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 70 years, Juanita (Banet) Lilly; sons, Mike Lilly (Linda) and Donnie Lilly (Becky); daughter-in-law, Mary Pat Lilly; sister, Evelyn Bostock; grandchildren, Crista Steier (Terry), Andrea Cotton, Michael Lilly (Kristi), Sarah Lilly (fiancé, Kiefer), Elizabeth Allison (Connor), and Jack Lilly; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Logan, Caleb, Jenna, Caroline, and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial and military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
