Ralph "Buddy" Jerome Eckert Jr., 66, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
He was born on October 18, 1955 in New Albany, Indiana to Ralph and Edna (Graf) Eckert. Buddy attended Saint Joseph Catholic Elementary School and went on to William "Borden" High School and was part of the 1973 graduating class. He worked 38 years with Whayne Supply in Louisville, KY. He loved hunting and fishing with his family. He was an avid card game player, enjoyed grilling and watching westerns and action movies with his girls. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeremy Patrick Eckert. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Richard) Elizabeth Honadel; daughter, Bridget (Casey) Michelle Kick; daughter, Michaela Marra Eckert; granddaughter, Clara Rose Kick; companion, Julie Riggs; sister, Ruth Ann (Carl) Luker; sister, Patricia "Patty" (David) Elliott; and numerous extended family.
Graveside service will take place Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Jeffersonville, IN with a Celebration of Life to follow until 5:30 pm at Chapel Lake Park Pavilion, 5801 New Chapel Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
The family requests that contributions in Ralph 's memory be made to American Lung Association.
