Rachel Joyce Cave, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
She was born on November 22, 1932 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Noah and Esta (Stout) Cole. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ray Willis and her sister, Martha Sanders.
Rachel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who spent her life taking care of her family. In her younger years she enjoyed square dancing, vacations to Florida and crocheting. A woman of strong faith; Rachel and her husband Arthur attended Ormsby Heights Baptist Church. While there they developed such a love for their church family; volunteering in several church groups and even traveling with their church family over the years.
Rachel is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Glenn Cave, children, Ronnie (Scarlett) Willis, Connie Greenwell and Dennis (Donna) Willis, grandchildren, Terry (Janet) Greenwell, Ronnie Willis, Johnny Willis, Joseph Willis, Travis Greenwell, Troy Greenwell, Veronica Greenwell, Samuel Greenwell, Greg Willis, Deny Willis and Tim Willis, 6 great grandchildren, her siblings, Norma Lee Hoskins and Fred Cole, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family that will miss her very much.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 8th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
