Quentin W. "Quiz" Laun, 85, of Elizabeth, Indiana passed away on July 31, 2012. Quentin was a retired machinist with CSX Railroad (L&N) and a member of the Shively Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born on May 20, 1927 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late George W. and Margaret (Bohn) Laun. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, George J. and Kermit T. Laun; and sister, Evelyn I. Spann.
Quentin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy Margaret (Lucas) Laun; daughter, Doris "Diane" Wilson (Steve); son, Ricky W. Laun (Teddy); granddaughters, Tammy Powers (Ed), Nicki, Allie, Lindy, and Stephanie Laun; and great grandchild, Eddie Powers.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (161 St. Matthews Avenue, Suite 3, Louisville, KY 40207).
