"In Loving Memory of Phyllis Joan Tompkins"

Phyllis Joan Tompkins, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024. She was a gentle soul, known for her quiet demeanor. A skilled seamstress and a gifted artist, Phyllis's creativity lives on in her many watercolor paintings.

Phyllis is now reunited with her late husband of 54 years, Michael L. Tompkins, and her beloved son, Shawn.

Throughout her life, Phyllis embarked on many adventures, calling Minnesota, Arizona, and, in her final years, Louisville, Kentucky home, to be closer to her family.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Michael P. Tompkins (Mary Ann), Paul Allyn Tompkins (Leo), and Thomas J. Tompkins (Heather). She is the grandmother to Ian, Alex, Marc, Shawn, Stuart, and Eric. Phyllis is also remembered fondly by her sisters Jackie (Jim) and Christie, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A gathering with closing prayer will also be held from 9am to 10am on Thursday, February 22nd at the funeral home, with a graveside service to follow at 10:30am at Floydsburg Cemetery, Crestwood, Kentucky.

The family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Phyllis's memory, as a tribute to her.
