Phillip Vandeveer

Phillip R. Vandeveer, age 46 of Louisville, beloved father, son, brother and uncle passed away to his eternal salvation on January 9, 2011. Phil enjoyed life and was devoted to his son Phillip. He was preceded in death by his father Bill, his mother Carol and sister Glenda.

Phil is survived by his son Phillip Shane Vandeveer; three brothers, Keith (Diana), John (Marcie) and Mitchell Vandeveer; three sisters, Holly Sarmiento (Freddy), Rhonda Howard (Ernie), Janet Moore (Scott); 12 nieces, Mandy Crawford, Jessica Fleischer, Ali Foster, Brittany Gatza, Ali Moore, Sydney Vandeveer and Emma Vandeveer; and nephews, Shawn Crawford, Jordan Moore, Travis Foster, Christopher Zeller and LCPL Tyler Vandeveer, USMC; and 6 great-nieces and nephews, Samantha, Dylan, Kayla, Cole, Paxton Crawford and Liam Fleischer.

Funeral Mass of Celebration will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at Church of the Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday 12-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a fund at the Breckinridge Lane Branch of L&N Credit Union in Phillip's name.
