Phillip Andrew "Bubba" McCormick, 70, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was an active member and volunteer at the Salvation Army Church and organization, as well as VFW Post 1693, where he served on the board and helped tend the bar. Bubba was a jack-of-all-trades, capable of fixing anything. He was also known to be a grill master, always down for a good bonfire and listening to music.
He was born a leap year baby on February 29, 1952, in New Albany, Indiana, to Connie and Billie (Watson) McCormick. In addition to his parents, Bubba was recently preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Denise "Nene" McCormick.
Bubba is survived by his children, Brandy Gibson (Tim), Stacey Reed (Jason), and Phillip "Andy" McCormick, Jr. (Jenny); grandchildren, Katie Jackson, Ava Reed, Mia "Bubbette" Reed, Layla McCormick, Keaton McCormick, Abbi Maraman, and Parker Maraman; sister, Connie Jean Schlieker (Dan); brothers- and sisters-in-law, Suzanne Butler, David and Karen Barton, and Ray Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.
