Philip E. Williams, 80, of Clarksville passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012. Phil was a member of Evangel North Church in Clarksville and the Evangel World Prayer Center in Louisville. For ten years, Phil cooked at The Lord's Kitchen in Louisville and at Evangel North Church in Clarksville.
Phil was born on July 22, 1931 in Perry County, Indiana to the late Ralph J. and Zelda J. (Morris) Williams. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert and Walter Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon R. (Irick) Williams; sons, Albert Williams (Julia) of Manchester, Kentucky, John Mark Williams (Jane) of Troy, Indiana, and Michael Williams (Stacye) of Mackville, Kentucky; stepsons, Gary Arnold (Brenda) of Louisville, Gene Fulkerson (Helen) of Joplin, Missouri, Greg Taylor (Sharon) of Charlestown, Indiana, and Bret Taylor of New Albany; sisters, Helen Dauby and Ruth Bolin (Frank), all of Cannelton, Indiana, and Jean Lawalin of Tell City; brother, Ronnie Williams (Mary) Brownstown, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and 9 to 11 AM on Friday at Evangel North Church (1430 Cedar Street, Clarksville). His Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Friday at the church followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
