Peter Vincent "Pete" Jakubiak Jr., 40, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 29 2013.
Pete was born on February 25, 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky. He worked for LifeSpring for a number of years. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Louisville Cardinals and Washington Redskins. Pete loved to help people in need and had a gift as a caregiver. He decided to give life to others through the gift of organ donation.
He is survived by his daughters, Lucinda Elizabeth & Julianna Joy Jukubiak; mother, Nancy (Elbert) Jakubiak; step-mother, Patricia Jakubiak of Illinois; uncle, Donald Elbert (Ann) of Missouri; and aunt, Lois Meeker of California. He is preceded in death by his father, Peter Vincent Jakubiak, Sr.
A Memorial Gathering will be from 10 to 11 AM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). His Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family (c/o Nancy Jakubiak).
