Peggy April (McLain) Stonecipher, 61, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024. She was incredibly proud of her family and loved each of her grand babies. Peggy was always caring for others, especially her neighbors at Yellowwood, and enjoyed celebrating the holidays, with Christmas being her favorite.

She was born on April 1, 1963 in New Albany to William and Patsy (Hime) McLain. Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her son, John Stonecipher, Jr.

Peggy is survived by her husband, John Stonecipher, Sr.; children, Samantha Salkeld (Adam Wagner), Rebecca Aguilera (Martin), Adam Williams (Lacey Boykin), Shane Smith (Holly), Shannon Dewberry (Chris); sister, Sharon Thompson; brother, William McLain (Paula); 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
