Peggy Darlene Schmidt

Peggy Darlene (Wolford) Schmidt, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Peggy was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend to all. She always had an open door policy for anyone who was in need. If she knew you she loved you and counted you as family. She was an avid UK and Cowboy's fan and loved to cheer them on when her children disliked them and were bird fans.

She was born on November 17, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Clara (Pare) Wolford. She is preceded in death by her Father, William Frank Wolford, Mother, Clara Nell Wolford, Husband, Karl Rudolph Schmidt, Jr. and Sister, Helen Smith.

Peggy is survived by her loving Children, Todd Rudolph Schmidt, Buffy Marie Schmidt, and William Louis (Mechelle) Schmidt; Cherished Grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Brother-In-Law, Ronald Schmidt; Niece, Lynn Marie (Andrew) Smith-Warren, as well as all others she claimed as her children.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). We will continue Visitation from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday and Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Peggy's memory be made to Kosair's Children Charity.
