GARRETT, Peggy Mae, 73, lost her battle with congestive heart failure and kidney disease on April 22, 2012, surrounded by family at home. She attended Valley High School before marrying her late husband, John C. Garrett, and settling in the South End of Louisville. They moved to The Highlands, where they raised four children.
She was also predeceased by her father, Arthur V. Chancellor, in 1995, and her mother, Virginia (Linville) Chancellor, in 1987. She is survived by her children: John W. Garrett II (Cass Irvin), Laura Maddrill (David), Rebecca "Bek" Garrett (Tom Stilabower), Robert A. Garrett, and John Turner: four grandchildren; Tasha Dolin, Erik C. Garrett, Daniel T. Garrett, and Garrett A. Maddrill; and two great-grandchildren. Other surviving family members include her sister, Victoria Chancellor Huffstutler (Chuck); niece April Huffstutler Renno (Dale), two great-nieces and a great-nephew, and several cousins.
