Peggy Dennis

Peggy Dennis, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout Christian who loved animals, crafting, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed baking and cooking and trying new recipes with her loved ones. Peggy was always fashionable and cherished shopping with her mother. She will be dearly missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was born on October 14, 1943 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to Herbert and Mayme (Tharpe) Self. She is preceded in death by her Father, Herbert Self, Mother, Mayme Self, Son, Mitch Dennis, Jr., Daughter, Connie Dowle, and Brother, Ronnie Doyle.

Peggy is survived by her loving Husband of 44 years, John Mitchell Dennis, Sr.; Children, Tamara Luna, Debbie (Harold) Nevitt, and Candi (Patrick) Michaels; Grandchildren, Brandy Snider, Christine Nevitt, and Cody Fleitz; Great-Grandchildren, Alexia Bergin and Dasan Brown, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, KY.

The family requests that contributions in Peggy's memory be made to Kentucky Humane Society or Louisville Metro Animal Services.
