Paulette Duvall

February 14, 1943 — September 8, 2024

Paulette Duvall, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 81.

Born on February 14, 1943, Paulette was a cherished daughter to the late Roy and Mary (Minter) Reardon. She is now reunited with her husband, Harley Wayne Duvall, her dear daughter Beverly Apple, son Roy Steven Apple, grandson David Haycraft, and her siblings: Martha, Betty Jean, Bernice, Wayne, Charlotte, Slim, Roy, Geneva, Minnie, and Ronnie "Buck." Their memories remain a warm embrace in our hearts.

Paulette’s legacy of love and strength continues through her devoted children: Barbara (Keith) Burgess, Eddie Apple, Sherill Haycraft, Tony (Melissa) Duvall, and Samantha Duvall. She took great joy in her grandchildren—Keisha Alvey, Robert Haycraft, Kristen White, Tiffany Lux, Jennifer Apple, James Apple, Amber Duvall, Gregg Duvall, Christina Felts, and D.J. Felts—as well as her 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving her is her loving sister, Mary Lee, along with a vast network of family and friends who will deeply miss her vibrant spirit.

A lifetime member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary 1181, Paulette made her mark as the owner and well-known "Bouncer" at Mom & Pops. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will always remember her as a generous, fun-loving, yet feisty "smooth chick," who embraced life to its fullest. Her home was often filled with laughter and joy, especially during games of Yahtzee, poker, and over a glass of wine—times that she cherished dearly.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, September 16th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Funeral Service in celebration of Paulette's life will follow at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Wayne Duvall, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.

The family kindly requests that contributions in Paulette’s memory be made to Hosparus of Louisville or Shirley's Way.
