Paul D. Schroeder

Paul D. Schroeder passed away on December 24 at the age of 86. Paul was born October 16, 1938 in Kenmore, New York and grew up in the Buffalo New York area before moving to Louisville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Milton Schroeder and Margaret (Kuhn) Schroeder and Son-in-Law (Maico L. Maust)

Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years Nancy, son Craig P. (Nancy) Schroeder, daughter Lynn R. Maust, Brother Glen Schroeder, four grandchildren Jonathon M. Maust (Miranda), Alison T. Smith (Nolan), Sarah L. Wilson (Kasey), and Step-granddaughter Casey M. Callahan, eight great-grandchildren Mason and Wesley Maust, Quinn, Landon and Cole Wilson, Duke Smith, and Knox and Beckham Link.

Paul graduated from Kenmore West High School (Kenmore, New York). He received an associate degree in electrical engineering from Erie Community College. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was proud to work for Westinghouse and Eaton corporation for 41 years as an outside electrical sales engineer which took him from Buffalo, NY to Louisville, KY, Atlanta, GA, Chattanooga, TN and back to Louisville, KY to be near family and friends.

Paul was an active member and treasurer of several Lutheran churches wherever his work took him to live. He had several close friendships that have lasted over 50+ years. Paul was always willing to help family and friends out anytime he could. He was an avid golfer for over 70 years, during which he got two hole in ones. He taught his son, Craig, and granddaughter, Alison, the game as well. He really looked forward to the monthly poker games with the guys and shared good times and stories with them. Paul loved to travel with his family and visited lots of amazing places.

Paul will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date.
