Paul Richard Lovett

Paul Richard Lovett,82, peacefully passed away on July 21, 2013 with his family by his side. He was a U S Army veteran of the Korean War, a student of Cumberland College and graduated Union College suma cum laude with a degree in business. Paul retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 35 years and started his own accounting business.

He was born September 5, 1930 in Williamsburg, KY to the late Roscoe and Myrtle (Hawkins) Lovett. He was preceded in death by Iona Faye (Walters), his cherished wife of 56 years, his infant daughter Winona, and his sister Rossalee Centers. He leaves behind sons Bryon (Rachelle), Barry, and Celia Lovett. He will also be missed by his nieces Cheryl and Karen, nephews Ron and Glen, grandaughters Emily (Andy), Elizabeth (Joshua), Jessica (Charlie), and great-grandchildren Charlie, Anastasia, and Faith.

Cremation was chosen according to Paul's wishes. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday July 27, 2013 from noon to 3 pm at First Christian Church, 3209 Middle Road Jeffersonville, IN with a celebration of both Paul's and Iona's lives on September 1, 2013 at the family home.
