Paul E. Mills
Paul E. "Gene" Mills, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 11, 2010 at Mercy Providence Retirement Home in New Albany, IN. Gene retired from General Electric in Louisville, KY after 32 years service. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Navy during WWII and a former member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Louisville.
Gene was born on February 5, 1926 in Loretto, KY to the late James A. and Margaret E. (Mann) Mills. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James A. Mills and William I. Mills.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Gail Patton of New Albany; Elaine Zeller and her husband, Bob, of Louisville, KY, Rick Mills and his wife, Karen, of Lewisburg, PA, Jim Mills and his wife, Sandy, of Cox Creek, KY, and Mark Mills and his wife, Connie, of Richmond, VA.
Visitation will be 10 AM to 10:30 AM Friday, October 15, in the chapel at Mercy Providence Retirement Home (4915 Charlestown Road, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday at the Mercy Providence Chapel with burial and military honors to follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Lebanon, KY.
The family requests that memorial contributions in Gene's memory be made to Mercy Providence Retirement Home.
