Patty J. Wilbert

Patty J. Wilbert, born on September 18, 1965, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on April 22, 2025, in her hometown. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister-in-law, grandmother, and friend who filled the lives of those around her with love and joy.

Patty dedicated her life primarily to caring for her loving family. Her commitment to her husband, Richard K. Wilbert, whom she shared 43 wonderful years with, was a cornerstone of her existence. Together, they created a nurturing home and fostered strong family bonds that will endure.

As a proud mother, Patty cherished her children: Jeremy (Heather) Wilbert, Richard Wilbert, III, Ryan (Joselyn) Wilbert, and Briana (Tyler) Weddle. Her most treasured accomplishment was her role as a grandmother to Kelsi, Angel, Jay, Chase, Lillian, Colton, Rose, Daniel, Mia, and Paxton. They were the joy of her life, and she revelled in their achievements and milestones, always finding immense pride in their growth and happiness.

Patty was also close to her sister-in-law, Patty (Tony) Dewitt, and her niece, Misty (William) Settle.

In her leisure time, Patty enjoyed various activities that brought her great happiness. She loved visiting yard sales and thrifting for unique treasures, exploring the outdoors, swimming, and spending time at the beach. Poker nights were another favorite pastime, where she enjoyed the thrill of the game and the company of friends and family alike.

Patty's visitation will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150, on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This will be followed by her funeral service at the same location, beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Patty's legacy of love, devotion, and family will continue to inspire and guide those left behind. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
