Patty Jo (White) Richards, 79, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. She enjoyed cooking and playing golf. Patty was also an animal lover and an incredibly independent person, capable of doing home improvements or fixing almost anything.
She was born on January 10, 1943, in Corydon, Indiana, to Claude White and the late Dolly (Gurtz) Sieg. In addition to her mother, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Huff; brothers, Charlie and Shell White; and sister, Kim White.
Along with her father, Patty is survived by her sons, Troy Richards (Rebecca) and Todd Richards (Pamela); brothers, Greg and Rick White; grandchildren, Elliott, Ashley, and Cody; and great-granddaughter, Addilyn.
Patty's wish was to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Floyd County Animal Rescue League (215 W. Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
