It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick "Pat" O'Leary, who left us unexpectedly on November 19, 2024, in his beloved hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Pat was born on March 25, 1952, in Louisville, where he lived a life characterized by warmth, humor, and an infectious spirit that touched everyone he met.

Pat was a man who never met a stranger; his joyous personality radiated to those around him. A devoted jokester, he brought laughter into the lives of countless individuals, always ready to share a smile or a quick wit. He had a generous heart, often exemplified by his willingness to lend a helping hand or offer the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His unique ability to connect with people was a testament to his genuine nature, and it is these fond memories that will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew him. When we hear the wind whistle, we will think of Pat.

He is survived by his beloved family, including his brothers, Dan O'Leary and Tom O'Leary (Leesa), and his sister, Cindy Murphy. Pat's legacy lives on through his nephews, Aaron Murphy and Daniel O'Leary, and his step-daughter, Corie Goldberg Hartman (Brian). He took great pride in being a loving grandfather to Cameron Archibald, Jacob Goldberg, Kirsten Hartman, and Bailey Hartman, and he cherished the time spent with his two great-grandchildren, Adrian Smith and IsLa Goldberg. Additionally, Pat was a cherished uncle, beloved by many nieces and nephews who knew him as more than just a relative, but as a confidante and friend.

Pat was preceded in death by his long-time partner of over 30 years, Susan Goldberg, whose memory will always be a part of his story. He was also predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Theresa O'Leary, as well as his brother-in-law, Lester Murphy, and sister-in-law, Kathy O'Leary.

As we remember Pat, let us celebrate the joyful moments shared and the kindness extended. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of love and laughter that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Pat; your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
