Patrick Ernst

Patrick Samuel Ernst, Sr., age 69 of Louisville, is now at peace and went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2013. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired with 42 years of service from Sud-Chemie Chemicals where he was a supervisor. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Catherine Ernst; and his brother, George "Sonny" Ernst.

Pat is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Ammons Ernst; children, Patrick Samuel Ernst, Jr., Karen Boggs (Keith), grandchildren, Adam Ernst (Jessica), Sean Ernst and Lance Humphrey; siblings, Thomas Ernst, James Ernst (Charlene); sister-in-law, Carolyn Ernst; and also a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday, October 4, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be 2 – 8 pm Thursday and after 9:30am on Friday until time of service.
