Patrick J. Cooper, 85, passed away on February 26, 2025. He was born to the late Thomas R. Cooper and Melvina S. Brucker on May 11, 1939 in Louisville. Pat was a graduate of Flaget High School and a long time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He retired from the United States Postal Service, and also served in the United States Naval Reserve for 31 years.
Pat is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Cooper; his parents; brother, Michael Cooper; and grandson, Blaise T. Robinson.
He is survived by his children, Melissa A. Cooper, John T. Cooper (Terese), and Patrick J. Cooper, II (Robyn); 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 4th from 4 to 8 pm at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A brief visitation will follow on Wednesday, March 5th at the funeral home, starting at 10:00 am followed by a service at 10:30 am. Following the service, burial will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
