Patricia Diane (Feezor) Shelton was born on May 9, 1950 in Paducah, Kentucky, to James Edward Feezor and Rubye Arlene (Wilkinson) Feezor. She passed away peacefully in Louisville, Kentucky and entered heaven on March 19, 2025. She was 74 years old.
Diane spent most of her life in Paducah, graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School and Paducah Community College. After devoting many years to raising her family, Diane opened and owned a commercial embroidery shop, Letters & Logos, for over a decade before retiring from that era to manage her daughter’s company, Dr. Sarah Shelton, LLC/Shelton Forensic Solutions, LLC for the last 18 years. She was the heart and soul of the business in many ways. She was adored and admired by everyone who knew her.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Blake Shelton, just six weeks earlier. They moved from Paducah to Louisville, Kentucky three years ago. She was the most wonderful mother in the world and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. They were her greatest joy, and she made sure that they knew that every day. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Faith Shelton Sexton (Scott), of Louisville, Kentucky and her son, Nathaniel Blake Shelton (Andrea), of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She was the beloved and adored “Gree” to her three grandchildren, Seraphina Sexton, Susannah Sexton, and Clyde Shelton. She is also survived by her older sister, Gloria Gayle Feezor, and several nieces and nephews, all from Paducah.
She left her family with the never ending gift of her ever present love and support as well as countless happy memories and stories to pass down through the years to come. Some of the greatest gifts she instilled in her family are her strength in adversity and her unwavering faith in God, shared with them by the example she set in the way that she approached every day of life.
Diane was a talented seamstress. She could make anything and left her family with many treasured heirlooms made by her own hands. She played the flute throughout school. She loved to travel with her family, especially on cruises, and enjoyed many adventures. Her greatest interest and love was her family, and she invested virtually all of her time and efforts towards them.
A private memorial service was held for her immediate family at her home on Saturday, March 20, 2025 in Louisville with Dr. Rev. Theresa O’Bannon officiating. A celebration of life gathering for family will also be held in Paducah, Kentucky at a future point in time.
Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville KY, 40243, was entrusted with her arrangements.
